I grew up in Brooklyn and benefited from a public school education, and met incredible people along the way. My college Biology professor steered me towards applying for and winning two prestigious scholarships, and I became a lifelong mentor and a friend.
While attending NYU School of Medicine, a Dean introduced me to ophthalmology, which would define my entire professional life. I did my residency education at a renowned New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. This laid a solid foundation and paved the path to a successful career, allowing me to do what I love — take care of people’s eyes and improve sight.
Someone I respect once said that success is in the agency of others. Without the support of my peers, friends, family, colleagues, and teammates, I could not deliver the highest quality of care to my patients.
I live in New York with my partner, two children, and a dog. We love to take trips, big and small, as well as spend time with extended family.

“I had cataract surgery on both eyes by Kira Mansis. Procedure was flawless. No pain, no discomfort and I dont need glasses any more. Her entire team were consummate professionals, and treated me as if I was a VIP…. which was great until I reached home, expecting the same treatment.”

“I recently had a cataract removed from my left eye. Dr. Kira Manusis was the surgeon. Surgery - Dr. Manusis' machine and her compassion unmatched. The entire experience was what I would consider 'best practice.' Everyone caring, watching, explaining and then, caring, watching and explaining. Excellent.”
